Extortionist pretending to be a journalist arrested
Baku/04.02.22/Turan: Law enforcement bodies have detained a man who was extorting money by presenting himself as a "journalist".
The General Prosecutor's Office reports that Bayram Hajiyev, posing himself as a journalist, demanded a bribe from the director of a health institution to remove compromising information from Sizintv.az and Vətəndaş Bayram Hacıyev pages of social networks Facebook and YouTube.
During the operational activities Hajiyev was detained in Narimanov district of Baku on receipt of 2000 manats for removal of negative information about heads of several health facilities.
A criminal case was launched on the fact. Hajiyev was arrested on charges of extortion by threats (Article 182.2.2 of the Criminal Code).-06B-
