Fifth Death from Corona Virus Recorded in Azerbaijan
Baku /31.03.20 / Turan: Twenty-four new cases of Corona Virus infection (COVID-19) were detected in Azerbaijan. One more man died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers reported on March 31.
It was a citizen of Azerbaijan born in 1957. Resuscitation measures to stabilize his health did not produce results, and the patient died.
Members of his family and persons identified in contact with him are quarantined.
In total, 298 cases of Corona Virus infection have been recorded in Azerbaijan. Of these, 26 were cured, and five died.
There are currently 267 people remaining in hospitals. The health of 11 is assessed as severe, and the health of 15 is moderate.

On January 7, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree increasing the salaries of employees in several organizations funded by the state budget. According to the decree, the monthly salaries of managerial and other employees in around 20 institutions (including the Presidium, Apparatus, and Ganja Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and the Heydar Aliyev Center) will increase by an average of 15% starting January 1, 2025.
