Fire at Heydar Aliyev Center comes from the welder machine ?
The work on liquidation of the consequences of fire on July 20 at Heydar Aliyev Center are ongoing. In particular, most part of the roof coverage was dismantled.
According to Fizuli Assadov, the head of the Fire Service of the Ministry for Emergency Situations, a fire damaged about 1,000 square meters covering the building.
The Director of the Center, Anar Alekperov, said that only the ceiling of the museum, where there was a fire, was damaged. According to him, a special roof construction protects against mechanical impacts and storm water. So, tons of water used to extinguish the fire did not penetrate into the interior of the building.
According to Alekperov, the center is equipped with advanced fire safety system, but the contractor did not complete its installation.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General Office, Eldar Sultanov, significant physical evidence was taken from the scene, including the electric machine, pieces of metal on which welding works were carried out.
According to a version, the cause of fire is violation of fire safety norms during welding. However, investigation is working on other versions, Sultanov said.
Responding the question from Turan, whether there are detained on the fact of fire, he did not give an unambiguous answer.—06D-
