Following accident with bus in Shamakhi, three wounded remain in hospital
Baku/13.06.22/Turan: Late last night the Mercedes bus got into accident in Shamakhi region. Schoolchildren of school № 279 in Baku, parents and teachers, about 50 people were on the bus. They were returning from one-day excursion to the Shamakhi region. The bus crashed into a fence along the road in a place called "Adji Dere".
According to the territorial medical units management association (TMUMA), 11 people were taken to the Shamakhi Central Region Hospital as a result of the accident. Of these, 10 were released after receiving primary medical care. Another victim who was diagnosed with fractures of the left ankle and femur was sent to a medical facility in Baku to undergo surgery.
Besides, two schoolchildren in moderate condition were taken to the central Gobustan region hospital.
Doctors diagnosed one of them with a fracture of humerus, the other with hip bone. They were also taken to Baku to a hospital subordinated to the TMUMA. However, the parents took the children to private medical facilities.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told Turan that the main investigation department of the Ministry initiated a criminal case under Article 263.1 (Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles, resulting in negligence causing less serious harm to the health of the victim) of the Criminal Code.-06D-

On January 29, municipal elections were held in Azerbaijan, with over 16,000 candidates participating across 118 constituencies. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has already announced the names of the leading candidates on its website. Hours after the election, CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov stated at a briefing that 413 out of 685 municipalities had already been formed, with 7,791 candidates identified as leaders.
