Football UEFA European U-17 junior starts in Baku

Mentors of the European Football Championship will start in Baku on May 5 among juniors (under 17 years), mentors of the participating teams held a press conference. In particular, the journalists  met with went coaches of the  Group A - Azerbaijan, Portugal, Scotland and Belgium.  The Head Coach  of Belgians Terry Sikuet noted that the most important game in the group  is the match against Scotland. "In Azerbaijan, we will meet in the third game. Who is more important for us is the first game against Scotland. After tomorrow's match, we will think about the game with Azerbaijan. We twice in qualifiers took first place, but this time we have more strong competitors," said the coach of the Belgians.

Head coach of the Azerbaijani national team Tabriz Hasanov, in turn, noted that the team will enter the field with a determination to win. "I tracked the game of Portuguese. They demonstrate the speed, technical football and are considered favorites for the championship, but we will play to win tomorrow," said Hasanov. In turn, the head coach of the Portuguese Helio Sousa noted that the participation in the tournament team puts on a lot of responsibility. Calling Azerbaijan a good training team, the Portuguese said that his team also expects to win. "We have a very strong productive hitter. But much will depend on tomorrow's atmosphere at the stadium," said Souza.

Scotland’s head coach Scott Gemmil said the team is focused on preparing for the first game against Belgium. "Then we analyze the two games the combined team of Azerbaijan. I wish it  every success," said Gemmil. The championship will include 16 games.
