Forest fires in the Gabala and Oguz regions
Fires broke out in the reserves in Gabala and Oguz regions in the north-west of Azerbaijan. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, fire covered an area of three hectares in the national park "Shahdag" in the village of Tikanly, eight km away from the center of Gabala region. Fire-fighting equipment has been attracted to this area, including helicopters, the fire brigade and reserve staff.
According to the same source, bushes and foliage are burning in an area of one hectare in the highlands near the village of Hachmah in Oguz region, which is also a national park "Shahdagh."

One Indian citizen was killed, and another was injured in an incident at a company in the Absheron district. The General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan reported the incident on January 13.
