According to the same source, Khalilov was interrogated as a witness in the case of embezzlement in the "International Bank of Azerbaijan" (IBA.) The former head of the IBA Jahangir Hajiyev was arrested on 4 December on charges of abuse of office, embezzlement and other crimes. Recently, he also was brought to the OCOC from jail N1, where he has been kept since his arrest for questioning. Possibly that the investigation confronted Hajiyev and Khalilov. It is believed that Khalilov was a business partner of Hajiyev, and they had a joint business.
