Former MP questioned in the Office for Combating Organized Crime
The owner of the business center "Globus Plaza", a former MP Dunyamin Khalilov was questioned today in the Office for Combating Organized Crime (OCOC) of the Interior Ministry, Turan learned from sources in law enforcement agency. According to the same source, Khalilov was interrogated as a witness in the case of embezzlement in the "International Bank of Azerbaijan" (IBA.) The former head of the IBA Jahangir Hajiyev was arrested on 4 December on charges of abuse of office, embezzlement and other crimes. Recently, he also was brought to the OCOC from jail N1, where he has been kept since his arrest for questioning. Possibly that the investigation confronted Hajiyev and Khalilov. It is believed that Khalilov was a business partner of Hajiyev, and they had a joint business. The press service of the Interior Ministry and Prosecutor General's Office do not comment on the interrogation of Khalilov. -03D-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.

During the operation of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 5 members of an organized group engaged in drug trafficking were detained. All of them have previous convictions: Bahlul Ismayilov, Royal Aliyev, Khayal Aliyev, Samir Aghayev, and Ali Mammadli.
