The court will make ANS to pay off the fine
Sabail District Court dismissed the lawsuit ANS TV against the National Television and Radio (NBC). On 5 October, 2015 the NBC decided to fine the ANS for violation of advertising legislation in the course of one of the controversial broadcast transmission. However, the ANS decided to ignore the decision and filed a lawsuit. Today the court found thecklaims of ANS unfounded, and remained in force the decision of the NBC. Commenting Turan decision of the court, an expert in the field of media Alasgar Mammadli said that recently restrictive measures were introduced to the legislation in the field of broadcasting, and the powers of NBC were expanded. Apparently, the NBC decided to show the necessity of taking into account its administrative role. Moreover the NBC has acquired the right raise the issue of the elimination of broadcasting structure after three warnings within a year. The conflict between the management of ANS Television and Radio and has a long-standing. So, 10 years ago broadcasting ANS was suspended for two weeks, and the channel was denied a license renewal. Only after the intervention of the international community, and the consent of the management of ANS to accept the "rules of the game" of the political leadership of the country, broadcast of the TV was restored. One of the main requirements was the introduction of an editor to the company's management to control the transmission, and decide what to show and what not. However, over time, the management of ANS again decided to carry out independent editorial policy. Over the past three momnths the ANS was fined several times for a total amount of more than 300 thousand manat.-06D-
