Guests of the European Games to enjoy simplified visa regime
Yesterday President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree concerning the upcoming 2015 European Games in Baku.
The Cabinet of Ministers has two months to make arrangements for a system of accreditation of persons involved in the conduct of the European Games and its participants.
So, passing proper accreditation, foreigners for 60 days before the opening of the European games and 30 days after the Games will be able to enter and leave Azerbaijan on the basis of a passport or other documents and the accreditation card.
In addition, foreigners acquiring tickets for the European Games may within 10 days before the opening of the Games get a visa at the international airports of Azerbaijan.
For foreigners who are already working on the territory of Azerbaijan in connection with the organization and holding of the I European games, and passed the appropriate accreditation, a work permit is not required.
