Our customs also may seize heroin
The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan seized 70 kg of heroin.
According to the information displayed on the site of the SCC, August 8 at the post Sinig Korpu, Tovuz customs control detained a Turkish citizen transporting drugs from Iran to Turkey via Azerbaijan.
In particular, in a truck controlled by Ates Rifat Ahmed belonging to Georgia, under the floor of the caravan they found and seized 116 plastic bags of heroin with a total net weight of 69 kg 610.4 g.
Operational search and investigative activities are carried out.
It should be noted that a month ago, law enforcement bodies of Georgia detained a truck following the same route, in which were found 3 tons of heroin.
Until now, the government and the law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan have not clarified the question of how such a large consignment of drugs could be transported across the country. -06D--
