Head of Central Bank Reports Fair Rate of AZN in Neftchala
The Chairman of the Central Bank Elman Rustamov at a public meeting in the Neftchala region on February 4 spoke about the beginning of the post-oil period. He also stated that poverty reduction is a result of successful policies and the opening of more than 1 million jobs. Rustamov tried to convince the population that in the post-oil period the hitherto successful policy will be continued.
Recall that in the last month protests were held in regions in connection with the devaluation of the manat, inflation and unemployment. After that, members of the government were immediately dispatched to the regions, trying to convince people that all is good.
For example, earlier such a mission in Guba was conducted by the Presidential Aide Ali Hasanov, while the head of the Emergency Situations Ministry Kamaladdin Heydarov met in Goranboy.
Rustamov said at a meeting in Neftchala that the monetary policy is aimed at sustainable economic development and export promotion. "The new, more balanced and fair exchange rate of manat offers great opportunities for the development of the agricultural sector and will provide 40% of the employment. Along with the structural changes, the favorable rate of AZN will help the export potential of the agricultural sector," he said. "Under the direct supervision of the President of the country serious struggle with rising prices will be carried out. Support for the poor will be increased.
The bank changes will make a significant contribution to the economy of the country, including in the development of the regions in a new way, Rustamov said. -03 / 04D-
