The Chief Executive of Ismayilli region, Nizami Alekperov, through pro-governmental media refuted his guilt for the unrest in the region.
He denied that Emil Shamsaddinov, who hit the local taxi, and then beat the taxi driver, is his cousin.
Alekperov also denied that the hotel "Chirag" burnt by protesters belongs to him. The chief executive regarded the attempts to burn his villa, as an attempt by certain forces to "politicize the situation." He also says that has not left the region since the unrest began. -16D-

The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
