Health of the arrested activist worsens
Health of Sanan Dashdamirli, the arrested activist in jail of Kurdakhani (son of Rafik Dashdamirli, the head of the organizing department of the PPFA) has worsened.
According to Rafik Dashdamirli, he wrote an appeal to human rights organizations, the head of the Committee against Torture Elchin Behbudov, and Ombudswoman Elmira Suleymanova asking to interest in his son’s health. His son suffers from high blood pressure, increased heart pain, rheumatic pains in the legs. His situation is critical, says the father. The lawyer Azer Nagiyev told Turan, that Sanan also suffers from some rash, the cause of which is not clear.
The lawyer also reported on the results of drug testing. "Drug testing has determined that Sanan Dashdamirli does not use drugs, and does not suffer from addiction," he said. The Prison Service did not respond to a request on Sanan Dashdamirli’s health.
This young man was arrested on November 17 in front of his home and taken to the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime on charges of sale of drugs. Sanan’s relative are sure that his arrest is a punishment for his father activity in the organizing department and conducting meetings of the opposition. -03B04-
