Baku/07/25/22/Turan: Fires occurred last week on a vast territory in the Khojavend, Fuzuli and Jabrayil regions of the country, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan reported on July 25.
As a result of the measures taken, the spread of fire was prevented, communication lines were not damaged.
Satellite imagery showed that the fire covered an area of 7790 hectares. Shrubs and dry grass were burned in this area, the report says. -02D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
