Ibad Huseynov Supporters Refute, but not Respond to Main Questions

A group of soldiers from the 831 and 161 battalions, made a statement, which refutes a recent statement by General Talib Mammadov, saying Ibad Huseynov has no relation to the elimination of Armenian terrorist, Monte Melkonian.

"An Interview of Lieutenant General Talib Mamedov with Turan agency caused great pity, and we can not accept it." "The debate about who destroyed Monte Melkonian, does not serve our case," the statement read. The soldiers claim that the version of the death of Melkonian in the regions, was deliberate to make him a hero.

The statement claim Marzili Agburuna and Ibad Huseynov were members of the 831 self-defense battalion of Khojavend, which was the only unit conducting a combat operation in the village area.  Strangely, the soldier admitted, "the archived documents did not reflect the real situation." The authors did not explain the meaning, but it was in response to the 708th Brigades claim that during this time period, June 1993, Ibad Huseynov did not serve in the 161 Battalion.   

Authors of the statement, said the 831 battalion in August 1993, was renamed the 161 battalion.

The statement claims Ibad Huseynov, in June 199,3 had an operation to destroy Monte Melkonian. "This operation began on 10 June. On June 12, Melkonian was killed, and on June 13 members of subversive groups returned with great difficulty. During this time, the trophies of this operation went to the corps commander. "

The authors made an interesting observation, "In 1994, Huseynov was nominated twice to receive the title of national hero, but nothing was said about the elimination of Monte Melkonian."

The authors cannot explain the oddity of the statement or explain, anything about Ibad Huseynov, saying that he "had done more serious operations than killing Melkonian." They do report on what kind of operations, they are speaking about. It was not for the destruction of Melkonian that he was awarded the Order of the Azerbaijani flag, the statement said.

They also complained that someone wants to politicize Ibad Huseynov and manifestation of "injustice" towards him. In conclusion, the authors called to be objective.

In the electronic version of the complaint, sent to Turan, 25 names were mentioned.

Editor's note: Supporters of Ibad Huseynov did not answer the main charges: where is the evidence of Melkonian’s elimination in the village? Whose head was shown in the photo, and why it does not look like Melkonian? If it is the head of Melkonyan, then who was buried in Yerevan on June 19?

Instead of answering, a very serious question was asked, if Ibad Huseynov fulfilled a special operation to eliminate Melkonian, why in 1994, was nothing said to nominate him for a hero title?  Maybe something was written, but the Ministry of Defense, who had the real information on the situation, only awarded Ibad Huseynov, and that is all? -02В-
