In 2022, 309 women died due to crime
Baku/25.10.23/Turan: The number of children born to mothers under the age of 18 in 2022 in Azerbaijan amounted to 2011 people. This is stated in the report of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children for 2022.
The document states that this is up by 361 people from 2021.
The report "On Guarantees of Gender (Men and Women) Equality" is expected to be discussed in the Milli Majlis.
The highest rates were registered in Gazakh-Tovuz (280 people), Central Aran (245 people) and Karabakh (240 people) economic regions.
According to the report, of the 122,846 born in 2022, 64,940 were boys, and 57,906 were girls. The difference between the sexes was 7,034 people, that is, 112 boys per 100 girls.
In 2022, the total number of abortions in the country was 31,747, and in 2021 there were 46,877.
According to the State Committee on Family, Women and Children, 269 early marriages were prevented in the country in 2022.
At that, out of 25,449 victims of criminal incidents recorded in Azerbaijan in 2022, 7,455 were women. At the same time, 2,945 women were injured, and 309 died. Of these, 24 were minors, the document says. -03D-
