In the case of Ilgar Mamedov filed a cassation appeal
Baku/31.10.18/Turan: Lawyer Fuad Agayev submitted to the Supreme Court a cassation complaint against the latest decision of the Sheki Appeal Court of August 13 in the case of the leader of the REAL party Ilgar Mamedov. According to Agayev, the complaint raises the question of the full justification of Mamedov. Ilgar Mamedov was sentenced to 7 years in prison on charges of organizing mass riots in the city of Ismayilli in January 2013. However, the court did not prove his guilt, and the international community recognized him as a political prisoner. Despite two decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, the authorities for a long time refused to issue it. On August 13, 2018, the Court of Appeal of Sheki City released Mamedov on parole with a two-year probation period. -05D06-
