In what cases is it denied to issue a certificate of contraindications?
Baku/10.09.21/Turan: The most frequent applications of citizens to polyclinics regarding obtaining certificates of contraindications to vaccination are associated with immune, allergic and oncological diseases, pregnancy, breastfeeding and epilepsy, the message of the Ministry of Health.
Sevinj Mammadova, a member of the special commission on contraindications, clarified the issue of cases of refusal to issue a certificate. “There are three cases when a citizen is denied a document on contraindications. First, the commission checks the documents according to the diagnosis. If someone does not have an attack, that is, the disease is in remission, then, as elsewhere in the world, they can be administered the Sinovac vaccine," Mammadova said.
A negative answer is also given in the absence of an expert opinion. "In case of oncological and allergic diseases, an expert opinion of an allergist, oncologist and other specialists is required. If at the time of treatment, the patient's health is stable, there are no metastases in the lymph nodes and other organs, then vaccination is not a contraindication for these people," she said.
For patients receiving chemotherapy, the vaccine manufacturer's instructions indicate that cancer patients receiving immunosuppressive chemotherapy should discontinue the procedure for 2-4 weeks.
During this period, they can get vaccinated and then continue immunosuppressive chemotherapy. In this case, they are issued a document on a temporary contraindication.
Another refusal to issue a certificate of contraindication is associated with pregnancy. Pregnancy speech, no supporting document. Only ultrasound examination in private clinics is not enough. Women must provide other supporting documents, Mammadova said.
The delay in issuing a certificate is associated with a large number of requests, which are often unfounded or incorrectly executed.
There are two commissions in Baku, and each commission accepts documents 3 days a week. Approximately 20-30 medical institutions send documents to each of these commissions. –16D-
