Turan was told by Fariz Namazly, the lawyer of one of the defendants.
According to him, the head of the investigative group Parviz Ibayev refused to give the documents to the lawyer, stating that they are not relevant to the defense.
However, as the lawyer said, his client is charged with the 21st article, including the use of violence against a representative of authorities, premeditated murder, and the creation of an armed group. According to these articles, the police are recognized as victims.
Namazly stressed that "this is a new trend" at the prosecutor's office. Before that, the lawyers were not given investigative materials in the case of the journalist Khadija Ismayilova.
Namazly regards the like, as a violation of the right to defense. Note that 19 people are involved in the case, including the leader of the movement Muslim Unity Taleh Bagirzadeh.
