Baku/18.10.23/Turan: During an operation carried out by employees of the Bilasuvar district police department, Iranian citizen Lavi Sefidgari Mohammed was detained in the village of Hirmandaly. As reported by the Lankaran regional group of the press service of the Interior Ministry, during an inspection of a car driven by an Iranian, 4 kg of opium and 1 kg of methamphetamine were discovered and seized.
During the investigation, it turned out that the detainee wanted to bring this drug to Baku in order to organize its sale.
As a result of another police operation in the Bilasuvar region, Ganja resident Ismail Guliyev, who organized drug trafficking, was detained. 4 kg of heroin and about 2 kg of methamphetamine were found and seized from him.
Over the past month, employees of the Bilasuvar district police department detained and prosecuted 17 people suspected of drug trafficking.
In total, during operations carried out in the region since the beginning of this year, 105 kg of narcotic and psychotropic substances were seized from illicit trafficking. -0-
