Iranian Earthquake Felt in Azerbaijan
Baku / 13.11.17 / Turan: A powerful earthquake that occurred on the Iran-Iraq border the day before was felt in the southern regions of Azerbaijan, as well as in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
According to the report of the Republican Seismological Service Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, on November 12, at 22:18 local time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 occurred in the area of the Iran-Iraqi border. Underground shocks were recorded at a depth of 19 km.
The earthquake was weakly felt in the southern regions of Azerbaijan, as well as in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
At least 200 people became victims of the earthquake, and 1,700 others were injured, foreign media reported. -05D06--
