Joint operation of State Security Service and Border Guard Service against drug traffickers
In the course of joint actions of the State Security Service and the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, drugs in a large amount smuggled by Iranian citizens into Azerbaijan were detected and seized.
As a result of the measures taken, the citizens of Azerbaijan Gasymov Veli, born in 1982, Iskenderov Iskender, born in 1988, Suleymanzade Agshin, born in 1993, and Dashdemirov Chingiz, born in 1982, who has no citizenship, were detained while trying to take the drugs weighing 74 kg near Pirshagi settlement of Sabunchu district of Baku.
A criminal case has been initiated under Articles 206.3.2 (Smuggling of narcotic drugs by a group of persons in collusion), 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 (Smuggling of narcotic drugs on a large scale by a group of persons in collusion) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
