Baku / 26.07.17 / Turan: The journalist Aziz Orujov, head of the Internet resource Channel 13, who is kept in Detention Center No. 1, lost his consciousness in the cell on July 23. This happened because of the excessive heat and lack of fresh air in the cell.
After he regained consciousness with the help of a cellmate, he called a warden, and then a doctor. The journalist was given medicines with unfamiliar names. True, after their reception, the journalist's condition improved comparatively.
The lawyer Javad Javadov wrote this on his Facebook page on July 25.
"He repeatedly asked to install a fan at his own expense, but he was not given such an opportunity. The last time Aziz spoke with his family on the phone, he spoke about the inhuman attitude towards him, and the conversation was interrupted halfway. On July 25, a parcel of food and a fan were brought to him, but the latter was never delivered to the cell until the end of the day. Despite the repeated written and verbal appeals to the leadership of the pre-trial detention center, he is not allowed to meet with relatives in accordance with the law. At the same time, the reasons for the ban are not said," the lawyer wrote.
The journalist intends to apply to the appropriate bodies and the court in connection with what is happening. --03D04-
