Journalist Taken to Prosecutor�s Office after Administrative Arrest
Baku / 01.06.17 / Turan: The journalist Aziz Orujov, who is under administrative arrest, was taken away to the Investigation Department for Serious Crimes of the Prosecutor General's Office on June 1. The human rights activist Samir Kazymly wrote about this on his Facebook page.
According to him, the lawyer Elchin Sadigov was telephoned by the investigator of the said department and told that Orujov wants him to protect his rights.
It is not yet clear why Orujov is interrogated in the prosecutor's office.
The journalist was arrested on May 2 for 30 days on charges of not submitting to the police. Today, his arrest expires.
Orujov is the executive director of the Internet television Channel 13. -16D06-
