Madat Guliyev: Leila Yunus does not have health problems
The head of the Prison Service Madat Guliyev said that the arrested human rights activist Leyla Yunus does not suffer from any health problems. He also denied reports about violation of their rights. Today, in an interview with reporters, Guliyev said that Yunus is in jail in the same conditions as the other prisoners. "Some media spread the false message. They write ridiculous things, that she was not given food. That's a lie," Guliyev said. He noted that on the eve the NGO representatives met with Yunus in her chamber. "They saw that she had no health problems, and Leyla Yunus insulted doctors, displaying her bad manners," Guliyev said.
Referring to keeping in jail a journalist Khadija Ismailova, he said that she does not complain about the conditions of detention, and that there was no pressure on her. The lawyers of Yunus repeatedly reported about the regular pressure on her and serious health problems. -06D-
