Washington to host discussion about human rights in Azerbaijan
A forum organized by the association AZAD (Azerbaijanis in America for Freedom)will take place in Washington at 21:30 Baku time. The theme of the event is: "Can the US sanctions help the Azerbaijani dissidents?" At the debate will speak former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Kozlarich and former head of the "Freedom House", now CEO of the Institute of Human Rights and McCain David Kramer. The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has expressed condolences to the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, following the tragic incident in the city of Magdeburg. "We are deeply shocked by the news of the deaths and injuries resulting from the tragic incident that took place at the Christmas market in Magdeburg," the message reads.
