Martyrs' family members summoned to the police
Baku/18.12.18/Turan: One of the participants of the protest actions of the families of martyrs Sevinj Guluzade told Turan news agency that they began to summon the protesters to the police.
In particular, she was summoned to the Sabunchu police department, where the deputy chief of police spoke to her. According to her, she was told that this was a "preventive" conversation. In particular, they tried to convince her that the protest actions of the families of martyrs were inspired by certain circles. Also, the police chief recommended resolving controversial issues through lawyers, rather than street actions.
Another participant in the action of martyrs' families, who wished to remain anonymous, also said that on December 18 he was summoned to the police on a similar issue.
In the spring of this year, President Ilham Aliyev issued a decree on the payment of one-time compensations to the families of those killed or missing in action in defense of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in 1991-97 in the amount of 11 thousand manat.
Compensation began on October 9. However, many families were denied on the pretext that they received funds in the past. Disgruntled citizens are recommended to apply to the courts. However, to go to court, the family of the deceased should receive an official rejection of state bodies, but they do not issue a written document.
The state company "Azersigorta" claim that in the 1990s some families were paid compensation under the law on compulsory insurance of military personnel. The amounts of the then compensations amounted to 50,000-200,000 non-denominated manats, which is equivalent to the current 10-40 manats. -06D-
