Media Bill discussed outside Parliament
Baku/22.12.21/Turan: Today, at the Media Development Agency (MEDIA), at the initiative of the Milli Majlis of Media, discussions were held on the draft law on media, which was submitted to parliament on December 10 and adopted in two readings.
Discussions with the participation of journalists, media experts, heads of MEDIA, the National Broadcasting Council, the heads of parliamentary committees Ali Huseynli, Zahida Oruja and others.
Various aspects of the draft law were considered, including its compliance with the constitution, international legislation, issues of media licensing, the unified register, the identity of journalists and others.
The inviting party stated the need to continue consultations with a view to adopting a more perfect and acceptable law for societies and the State.
Media lawyer Alesker Mammadli, who participated in the meeting, was invited to continue consultations on the legal aspects of the bill to the parliament on December 23. --0-
