The official newspaper Azerbaijan writes that no social infrastructure projects are subject to reduction. They are implemented in the framework of the 4th state program for the development of regions.
The website Redaktor.az cites experts' opinion that bread and flour products may rise in price due to bans on bakeries over the weekend. In addition, Azerbaijan imports a significant portion of food wheat.
The current economic situation of the country does not allow the country to provide itself with wheat. Azerbaijan, in comparison with many other countries, consumes a lot of bread. All of these factors can affect the value of bread and flour products.
The website Sfera.az comments on the situation with Kerim Suleymanov, who was beaten by police after his brutal detention on June 8. He was accused of disobeying the police and sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest. Kerim Suleymanov claims to have been brutally beaten by the police, although the police reject this. Moreover, the police claim that all the facts stated by Suleymanov were carefully checked.
