Media Review - November 27, 2018

The importance of investment, the search for freedom in adolescents, inconsistencies in the laws, and the expected discussions on oil are the leading topics of today's media.

The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the increase in capital investments, which is the first condition for ensuring the development of the economy and reforms. The author writes that foreign capital entered the country in connection with the oil factor.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in 2018 industrial production and the volume of services provided increased by 15%, reaching 40 billion manat. Production in the non-oil sector increased by 10%, in industry (private sector) - by 83%.

In January-October of this year, investments in fixed assets from all sources amounted to 11 billion 482.7 million manat.

In the non-oil sector, investment rose by 18.5. Of the total investments, 52.3% belong to the state, and 47.7% - to the non-state sector.

The website Oxu.az publishes the opinion of the psychologist Tarana Kazimly, the executive director of the Children's Psychological Center Narynj, about the frequent escape of teenage girls from home.

The number of girls seeking asylum increased. Most of them have problems in the family - rigidity and limitations of their rights. The psychologist believes the wrong education causes that. Today"s methods should not be the same as before.

Democracy is traditionally absent in Azerbaijani families, although Europe has long resolved this issue. The tightness of children, when they are not given the opportunity to find and make decisions, lead to hopelessness in adolescents.

The website Bizimyol writes about the shortcomings of the law on social insurance. According to expert Rovshan Agayev, from next year, private entrepreneurs working on the basis of contracts will give up to 25% of their income for social insurance.

However, earlier private entrepreneurs were involved in insurance under a separate article provided specifically for entrepreneurs. The expert hopes that the tax authorities will bring final clarity to this issue.

The website Bakipost.az writes that the parliament will discuss the issue of oil prices and the possible impact of this factor on Azerbaijan. The price of Brent crude oil is currently about $ 58.80 per barrel, and the state budget for 2019 was calculated at the rate of $ 60. The situation is commented by MP Vahid Ahmedov, saying that this issue will be discussed in parliament on November 27 or 30.
