Meeting of the Coordination Commission of the European Games
First European Olympic Games will be held in Baku on 12-28 June 2015, was announced today at a press conference in Baku on the results of the first meeting of the Coordination Commission of the European Committee for the Olympic Games.
According to Azad Rahimov, the Minister of Youth and Sports, on 19 sports will participate 6351 athletes.
The following competitions are expected: archery, water sports (swimming, water polo, diving), weightlifting, badminton, basketball, boxing, canoeing, cycling (mountain biking, road), beach soccer, gymnastics (rhythmic , sports, tumbling and acrobatics), judo, karate, shooting (clay pigeon and bullet), table tennis), taekwondo, triathlon, volleyball (beach and hall multiplex), wrestling and fencing.
Chairman of the Coordination Commission of the European Olympic Committee, Spyros Kapralos, said that the number of sports will be enhanced.
In addition to Baku, he competitions will be held in Mingachevir, where in the training base "Kur" will held the competition of rowers.—06D--
