MIA: Sumgait detained 10 religious extremists
Baku/16.12.13/Turan : During the investigation of an armed incident on December 11 in the city of Sumgait, three more people were detained, the press service of the Interior Ministry.
We are talking about the armed clash between representatives of "extremists" for the Khawarij and Salafis in a teahouse on the outskirts of the city.
Earlier in the investigation of the incident, in which several people were stabbed, 7 people were detained.
Subsequently, were arrested three people suspected of involvement in the crime. All of them are residents of the city of Sumgait . In their apartments were found a pistol, a revolver, two hunting rifles and ammunition, as well as about 100 copies of religious books and CDs , the report said . -02D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
