Baku/27.07.21/Turan: Employees of the State Security Service (SSS) conducted an investigation in connection with information that officials demand a bribe to issue a document on the financial support of the participants of the Second Karabakh War.
The SSS public relations center reported that the investigation established that the head of the department of the Main Clinical Hospital of the Armed Forces, Vusal Eyvazov, through the mediation of an employee of the institution, Huseyn Agayev, extorted bribes from the military for assigning a degree of disability received during the war and issuing a one-time social insurance benefit.
Because of operational and investigative measures, Eyvazov and Agayev were detained red-handed.
Eyvazov was charged under the Article 311.3.2 (repeated bribe taking), and Agayev - 32.5, 311.3.2. By a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against them. The investigation is ongoing. -06D-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
