Minister Did Not Disclose Festival Budget
Baku / 07.21.19 / Turan: Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov did not name the specific amount spent on organizing this event at a press conference on Sunday devoted to the European Youth Summer Olympic Festival.
Responding to a question from Turan, the Minister only noted that less money was spent on holding the festival than on organizing similar events in Hungary and Georgia earlier.
According to Rahimov, accommodation and meals for each athlete per day cost 90 euros, and the delegations pay the costs themselves. Shipping costs are also paid by them.
About 3,000 athletes aged 14-18 from 50 countries of the world will take part in the festival, which will take place in Baku on July 21-27.
The competitions will be held in 10 sports in 12 sports arenas. -21C--
