Ministry of Internal Affairs withdraws 243 kg of drugs during recent days
Baku/30.06.23/Turan: Over the last 10 days in Azerbaijan 243 kg of drugs worth 13 million manats have been withdrawn from illegal turnover.
Aside from this, employees of the Main Anti-Drug Department of the Interior Ministry detained 31 people suspected of participation in organized criminal group supplying drugs from Iran, as well as their dealers in Baku, Sumgayit, Lankaran, Absheron and Beylagan regions. This is reported by the Interior Ministry.
Among the 243 kg of drugs seized are heroin, opium, hashish, marijuana, psychotropic substance methamphetamine, as well as 5,300 pieces of methadone.
Criminal cases were initiated in all cases, the detainees were put on pre-trial detention by the court decision. -06В-
