The Ministry of National Security reported the arrest of four people accused of trafficking in arms and ammunition and drug smuggling from Iran. Four citizens of Azerbaijan - Aftandil Mehdiyev Zaur Mehdiyev, Rauf Mirzoyev and Namik Hasanov, were arrested on these charges.
During the search, from these persons were seized two guns "Makarov" and 33 cartridges, one pistol revolver and five cartridges, 2.5 kg of gold and 641 grams of silver jewellery, as well as a large quantity of heroin, opium and marijuana (the exact number is not specified - Ed.) Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
