MOE Does Not Inform about Causes of Third Pipeline Explosion (UPDATED)
The explosion and fire that emerged on the main pipeline in the Sangachal settlement of the Garadagh district at about 20.45 yesterday was extinguished in 4 hours.
The relevant units of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MOE) were immediately brought to the scene.
The incident resulted in no injuries. The operation was completed at 00:58, MOE informs. At the same time the causes of the fire are not reported.
However, so far the authorities have not provided information about the causes of the previous explosions on the same pipeline on 27 December last year and January 2, 2017. -06D--

On Tuesday evening an explosion again occurred on the gas pipeline in Sangachal. This was written by the head of the Committee for Protection of Oil Workers Rights Mirvari Gahramanli on her Facebook page. According to her, the explosion occurred at 20.40. After the explosion, a fire broke out.
Gahramanli believes the cause of the explosion was the poor quality of the repair work.
Earlier there were explosions on the same pipeline in the same place on December 27 last year and 2 January 2017.
The current explosion occurred a little further away from the previous place, said Gahramanli.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and other state agencies have not yet commented on the explosion. -06B--

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan.
