MOE Saves 35 People in Yesterday’s Flood in Baku
On the evening of September 28 the Ministry of Emergency (MOE) forces evacuated 35 residents of private homes in Baku that were flooded due to heavy rains. According to the MOE press service, among the survivors there were 17 children.
In which part of the city this happened was not reported. However, almost the entire city was flooded. Particularly affected were houses on the outskirts of the capital, where the sewerage system operates poorly.
Many roads were washed out. Due to the lack of drains, streams of water flooded streets and basements.
The rescue work is attended by the respective services of MOE and firemen, who are busy pumping water from flooded areas. -16D-
