On July 17, 2013 the Baku’s Prosecutor’s Office made a statement concerning the murder on the bus No 6 that occurred at 7 Bakixanov street at 1.20 p.m. Anar Halilov has opened a fire from the hunting rifle and murdered Vafadar Mammadov.
“In the past Halilov has undergone treatment at the psychiatric hospital. Winchester rifle, hunting rifle and cartridges were found in the trunk of Halilov’s car.
The criminal case has been instituted on the counts 228.1 (illegal bearing of weapons), 229.1(illegal making of weapons), 120.2.4 (deliberate murder). The investigation is conducted by the Baku’s Prosecutor’s Office.
The Prosecutor’s Office provided no information how mentally ill patient could buy weapons and carry them in his car.
It is also not clear what was the reason of the murder.—0-
