Muslims celebrate the end of fasting

Today Muslims celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan. In Azerbaijan, 08-11 August  are declared holidays.

The ninth month of the Muslim calendar, Ramadan came into force on July 10. This month is the most important and honorable to the Muslims. Ramadan is sacred month and is  part of  religion: the month of fasting and worship, the month in which the Koran was revealed, the month in which evil forces are chained;  and the month remission of sins.
 
   The fasting is held to achieve the pleasure of Allah and is designed to increase  piety;  to improve inner world in the struggle against the weaknesses and passions for the next year, to overestimate the significance of available benefits, to improve the attitude towards the needy and people around you. Fasting  (Uraza)  lasts from  sunrise to sunset, which implies a rejection of food, water and sexual relations during daylight hours.
 
  The last day of fasting falls on August 8, and comes Fitr holiday marking the end of fasting. Eid al-Fitr is one of the most important days of the Muslim calendar, is celebrated after the end of the post. The tradition has its origin from the time of the  Prophet Muhammad. In this people should  treat not only the family, but also neighbors, friends (regardless of religion.) Almsgiving is a prerequisite for the celebration. Also during the holidays people visit the graves of  their relatives.—0—
