Mustafa Hajibayli detained for a short time
Baku/06.03.18/Turan: The head of the press service of the "Musavat" party and the editor of the Bastainfo.com website Mustafa Hajibeyli was summoned to the police today in connection with the "National rally" scheduled for March 10. He was told to be at the police at 14.00.
Despite he said on the phone that he would come to the office, after some time the police officers appeared behind him. The deputy head of the fifth branch of the Binagadi district police began to make claims about Hajibeyli's appeals to participate in the opposition rally.
Then he was threaten to be brought to criminal liability for "theft", then for "sending money to criminal authorities", then for "hooliganism" in the department itself. However, in the end, he was released, saying that he was "still free".
The head of the Musavat Party's Executive Staff, Gulaga Aslanli, reported that on March 6, the heads of a number of party departments were summoned to the police. According to him, the city administration has not yet responded to the organizers' request for a rally. The organizers of the rally under the slogan "No robbery, the end of the monarchy" are the National Council of Democratic Forces, the Popular Front Party and "Musavat". -06D--
