Nakhchivan responds to outrage against ordinary citizens
On 23 July Huseyn Dadashov, Director of the shopping center "Sharur" in the city of Sharur in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR), was removed from his position, according to the journalist Khakimeldostu Mehdiyev. The reason for the dismissal of workers of the market became abuse in relation to the saleswoman Zohra Mammadova on 15 July.
The woman was forced to buy an umbrella for 300 manats on her bench, and after the failure she and her husband Knyaz Mammadov were evicted from the market. At the same time, they were subjected to physical pressure by the son of Dadashov. After the video about the incident was posted on social networks, the authorities had to investigate this case. Huseyn Dadashov was summoned to the prosecutor's office, and "suddenly" it was revealed that that he owed to the state 5.000 AZN for electricity. The decision on Dadashov’s dismissal was enthusiastically welcomed by the market traders. -05B-
