Natig Jafarli Ordered Not to Leave Baku (UPDATED)
In relation to the Executive Secretary of the movement REAL, Natig Jafarli, a preventive measure has been taken; he was forced to sign a commitment not to leave his place. The lawyer Javad Javadov told Turan.
He noted that after Jafarli’s liberation from custody, such a decision was expected, since the criminal case is not closed. The new preventive measure means that Jafarli cannot leave the limits of Baku.
Jafarli was arrested on August 12 on charges of illegal entrepreneurship and abuse of office. REAL called the arrest politically motivated.
The arrest of the oppositionist has caused a resonance in the country and the world - local and international human rights organizations have condemned the prosecution of Jafarli.

On Friday, the Nasimi District Court of Baku canceled the preventive measure - arrest in relation to Natig Jafarli, the executive secretary of the "Republican Alternative" (REAL) Movement. The court ordered the release of activist immediately.
In the evening of September 9 he was released from the prison in Kurdakhani. " Today the Nasimi District Court adopted a decision to abolish the preventive measure - arrest against me. This decision was taken on the basis of the document from the General Prosecutor's Office," Jafarli told Turan agency. However, he added, that the criminal investigation is ongoing.
