In a press release, Nefes said that the Dutch diplomat expressed concern over the suicide committed by the head of the organization Free LGBT Isa Shahmarly.
During the meeting they held discussion on the rights of sexual minorities in Azerbaijan. Atilla Nabiyev noted the recent increase in the number of hate crimes.
