New Azerbaijan Declares Victory
The ruling party New Azerbaijan (NAP) has declared victory in Sunday's parliamentary elections.
As the Executive Secretary of the ruling party Ali Ahmadov said on the evening of November 1, according to preliminary data the party wins a landslide victory.
The party expects to take at least 70 of the 125 seats in the parliament.
The exit poll conducteed by pro-government bodies also confirms what Ahmadov said.
So according to the results of exit-poll by the pro-government Research Center Els, conducted in 118 districts, more than half the seats in Parliament will belong to NAP.
At the same time, no representative of real opposition passes to the parliament. Moreover, the leader of the party Umid Igbal Agazadeh loses a seat in the parliament and gives way to the leader of the Social Democratic Party Araz Alizadeh. -06D--
