New mass graves discovered in liberated territories
Baku/28.10.22/Turan: The country's military prosecutor Khanlar Veliyev visited mass graves found in the territories liberated from occupation. In particular, he visited the villages of Dashalty in Shusha region, Edilli – Khojavend, Syrkhavend – Aghdam, Farrukh-Khojaly regions.
The remains of more than 450 people allegedly missing during the First Karabakh War were found in these graves, the Military Prosecutor's Office said in a statement on October 28.
Forensic medical examinations and more than 280 molecular genetic examinations have been appointed for the remains of 300 people. Witnesses were interviewed, other investigative and operational measures taken.
In total, about 4,000 Azerbaijani citizens are considered missing as a result of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. -16D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
