Nijat Guliyev is not permitted to meet with sick father
Former imprisoned minister Nijat Guliyev is not allowed to meet with his 84-year-old father, Turan was told by the lawyer Afghan Mammadov. According to him, Amir Guliyev ‘s health is not well, and he is being treated in a hospital.
Nijat Guliyev was sentenced to three years in prison on charges of illegal possession of firearms. Half term he had already served, however Prison Service does not create conditions for his meeting with his father, although the law allows it.
The lawyer also said that on 5 February he appealed to the leadership of the Prison Service with a request to allow such a meeting, but so far received no response.
Nijat Guliyev was arrested in August of 2013. The real reason for his arrest is that he advised the opposition candidate, Rustam Ibrahimbayov before the presidential election of 2013. -05B04-

Information about the explosion on 8th Transverse Street was reported to TƏBIB (the Association for the Management of Territorial Medical Units) on October 7 at around 1:50 PM. Four ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured included three adult men and two women, all of whom were hospitalized in facilities managed by TƏBIB. Local sources confirmed on Sunday that the restoration of the historic Kazanchi Church, located on a hilltop in the culturally significant city of Shusha, has been completed. Despite the apparent completion of the restoration project, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture has yet to release an official statement regarding the work.
