On 4th of July at the trial in the case of activist Omar Mamedov verdict, the Court granted the prosecutor offer to condemn Mammadov, accused of drug trafficking, to five years of imprisonment in a penal colony.
*A nineteen-year-old Omar Mamedov is the leader of the youth movement "Akhyn" ("Feed") and a member of the party "Civil Solidarity." After his arrest, he joined the NIDA Movement. On July 30, the special representatives of the Armenia-Turkey Normalization Process (Ambassador Serdar Kılıç and Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ruben Rubinyan) held their fifth meeting at the Alican-Margara border gate located on the common border of the two countries.
