Ombudsman staff visited Polad Aslanov in the colony
Baku/13.01.22/Turan: On January 12, representatives of the Ombudsman's office monitored without prior notice the colony number 1 of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
During the visit Polad Aslanov was received confidentially in the medical unit, according to the press service of the Ombudsman's office.
Given his refusal to eat, he was placed in a separate room and is under daily medical supervision.
During the interview, the convict stated that he refused to take food due to his dissatisfaction with decisions of the courts of first instance and appeal in his case, and with a view to a fair trial on his appeal to the Supreme Court.
Representatives of the Ombudsman gave recommendations to the colony management to monitor the condition of Polad Aslanov, daily medical supervision, a press release says.
