On Wednesday, forecasters predict rains in regions of Azerbaijan

On  July 5, mostly no precipitation is expected in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, with a southwesterly wind blowing. The air temperature will be +20 +25° at night and +32 +37° during the day, the National Hydrometeorological Service under the Ministry of Ecology of Azerbaijan reports. No precipitation  is expected  in the regions of Azerbaijan. However, short-term rains, thunderstorms, and hail are possible in mountainous areas during the day. Fog is expected in places at night and in the morning. An easterly wind will prevail. The air temperature at night will be +20 +25°, during the day +32 +37°. +8 +13° is expected in the mountains at night, +18 +23° in the daytime.

Bakcell is the first company in Azerbaijan to launch a VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi) calling service. The new service allows subscribers outside the country to call anywhere in the world at the Azerbaijan tariff, provided the Wi-Fi network is active on the smartphone.

As the NATO summit in Washington approaches, Azerbaijan faces a strategic decision: whether to accept an invitation to attend the event at the level of foreign ministers. The invitation, extended by US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien during his visit to Azerbaijan on June 28, includes participation from 30 partner countries, notably Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The regions of Azerbaijan continue to suffer from intense downpours, which rush from the mountains into the lowlands. Last day, heavy rains caused regular floods and mudslides in several parts of the country. For the first time in recent years, the water level in the Kura River has risen and it has begun to flood coastal areas. Heavy rains also caused a landslide on 75 km of the Baku-Shamakhi road, which blocked traffic.
